The Delaware SWCD is pleased to announce our 2019 Cooperator of the Year award winner, Wholesome Harvest CSA. Wholesome Harvest CSA is a chemical-free operation that grows produce on their farm, which they share with members who receive fresh produce weekly or biweekly. A stop on the inaugural Delaware County Farm Tour in 2018, Wholesome Harvest’s business model, as “community-supported agriculture,” provides for local sourcing of quality produce, grown for Ohioans, by Ohioans. The owners of Wholesome Harvest CSA, the Gilsons, employ cover crops on their tillable fields, enriching the soil for sustainability. They also practice woodland management on their timber stand.
