Agricultural Lands

The SWCD partners with the USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service to provide technical and financial assistance to farmers wanting to incorporate conservation measures on their land.

Conservation practices focus on building soil health, such as no-till farming, cover crops, nutrient and livestock manure management, and much more.  We provide engineering design assistance for other practices such as grassed waterways, rock chutes, and high tunnel hoop houses.  Additionally, we rent out a no-till grain drill and a no-till warm-season grass drill.   These tools help prevent erosion and conserve soil.  Click here to learn more about drill rentals.
