Hello everyone. My name is Chris Elliott and I am the new Soil Conservationist for Delaware County. I was born and raised in Gallipolis, OH. In 2013 I graduated from Gallia Academy High school and left South Eastern Ohio to continue my education at Morehead State University in Morehead, Kentucky. During my senior year, I began an Internship with the NRCS in the Huntington, WV working primarily with High Tunnel Systems. In 2017 I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy and started working for the NRCS full time as a Soil Conservationist and was relocated to Greenbrier County, WV. I spent most of those 2 years working with livestock producers implementing adequate water and grazing systems on their land. I am extremely grateful to be back in the buckeye state and look forward to getting to work with all of you!
