2024 Rooted in Education – Tree request form

Delaware Soil and Water Conservation District will offer free seedlings to Delaware County Elementary, Middle and High schools. The free tree seedling program is an opportunity to show students how important trees are to their health, their community and their environment.

Educators can request up to 10 trees to plant on the school grounds. This is perfect for enhancing an outdoor classroom, diversifying the landscape and beautifying your school campus. Additionally, this allows all students to have ownership and responsibility for the trees planted at their school.

Complete this order form by Friday March 8, 2024 to reserve seedling trees for your school. The seedling trees will be delivered to the schools April 17-23, 2024. A Delaware SWCD employee will be in contact to discuss delivery details.

Please note that this program is about planting trees on the school campus, although we wold love to be able to give trees to all of your students to take home to plant, we cannot currently accommodate that. Thank you for your understanding and passion for conservation!
