One supervisor will be elected to a three-year term commencing January 1, 2024 and ending December 31, 2026.. The nominees are Randy Leienberger and Charlie Reffitt. Completed ballots may be returned to the office via U.S. Postal service or in-person and must be received at the Delaware SWCD office by November 21, 2023 by 4:30 p.m.
Candidate Bios:
Randy Leienberger: Randy Leienberger is a farmer from Oxford Township who has been married to his wife, Joyce, for over 40 years. They are proud parents of two daughters, both of whom graduated from the College of Agriculture at The Ohio State University. His family has been farming in the area since the 1980s and they are committed to conservation efforts such as implementing cover crops like oats, rye, and radishes. Additionally, they practice no-till farming and perform systematic tiling on their land.
Charlie Reffitt: Charlie Reffitt and his wife, Crystal, moved to Delaware County in 2016. Charlie serves as president of Hondros Farms, which primarily produces 100’s of Angus/Wagyu cross cattle annually. They sell in the specialty meat market to Sakura Wagyu . The farm produces row crops in 5 counties primarily Delaware county. Charlie and his wife love the outdoors, having friends over, and checking the cattle. He enjoys hunting when not in the fields in the fall. Charlie said, “I’m interested in this position to stay involved in something I’m passionate about, meet new people, and to continue to help make good decisions for the community.”
