Education Mini Grant

The Delaware SWCD Educator Mini Grant opportunity is designed to help schools and education programs implement conservation education, and is available to those interested educational institutions in Delaware County, Ohio.

Each applicant may apply for up to $250 in funding per school or educational institution, per year, to establish or enhance an outdoor classroom, garden, or natural area.

The application deadline is April 3rd, 2026. All awards will be presented prior to May 1, 2026. The number of awards given will be subject to funding availability. Applications can be emailed to efisher@co.delaware.oh.us, or mailed/dropped off to 1610 State Route 521, PO Box 8006, Delaware, OH 43015.   • Rain Barrels
  • Native Wildflower Seed Mix
  • Soil or Compost
  • Seed Packets, Cups, & Soil
  • Outdoor Compost Bin
  • Soil Tests
  • Garden Tools

Environmental Education

Delaware SWCD offers resources on environmental education to teachers, educators, summer camps, scout troops, or other organizations. Our education program aims to engage teachers and students on how to protect our county’s soil and water resources.  We accomplish this through the following:

  • Workshops for educators
  • Teacher resources and handouts
  • Loan activities and materials
  • Volunteer opportunities

Community Outreach
