Camp Canopy

Attention Delaware County high school students!  If you are looking for an awesome, outdoor, adventure-filled experience this summer, consider Camp Canopy!  This residential camp is held at FFA Camp Muskingum on beautiful Leesville Lake near Carroll, Ohio from June 12 – 17, 2022. The Delaware Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) will be sponsoring one local student to cover the full registration fee ($375) of this year’s camp.

Campers will enjoy traditional sessions such as campfires, boat float, hiking, a polar bear swim, and classes that cover waterfowl identification, dendrology, forest invasive plants, stream monitoring, and ecology, just to name a few. Opportunities to visit the rifle and archery ranges are also offered. There is plenty of free time too, volleyball, fishing, a talent show, and more.

Dick O’Keefe Memorial Scholarship

Delaware Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) is accepting applications for the annual Dick O’Keefe Memorial Scholarship.  Mr. O’Keefe was born and raised in Delaware County and loved farming.  The scholarship honors his lifelong commitment to agriculture and is open to students who wish to pursue a degree in agriculture or natural resources.

One $500 scholarship will be awarded for the 2023/2024 academic year. A selection committee will review all complete application packets received by May 10, 2023 and announce the recipient at the end of May, 2023. Application: Click Here
